Buffalo is like many cities experiencing a life resurgence. The now well-worn phraseology is that younger people are flocking back to cities for a more portable and casual life, which seems accurate by my impression. I hear my old stomping ground of Tampa isn't doing too badly either.
While strolling around down there we happened on Jerk's Soda Fountain and Ice Cream which had not officially opened despite allowing in customers. The owners were there were figuring out the cash tendering system and fighting an apparently weak Wi-Fi signal among other minor speed bumps.
Made no difference though - they were shelping out the sodas and sundays (that's how I spell an ice cream sunday because that's how you're supposed to) and we tasted and enjoyed. They seemed to be the only sweets shop on the strip and while in there ourselves couldn't help but notice the steady stream of customers.
I think the folks running the Jerk's Soda Fountain and Ice Cream joint are off to a great and likely profitable start!
